The standard specifies the requirements, and method of testing for textiles. This includes the following:

  • Martindale abrasion test
  • Colourfastness test
  • Colourfastness to washing
  • Colourfastness to perspiration
  • Colourfastness to light
  • Dimensional changes as a result of laundering
